Here at summit we thrive at using AI as a tool in process engineering, programming and, preventative maintenance. we do this by logging tool data such as speeds, feeds, spindle load, material, material density and, a multitude of other factors to personalize each experience to your needs. The world of machining is going to evolve with techniques such as VAM and UAM as more Data is logged and new techniques are logged, we can use aI to predict the whole nature and effects of processes applied to a material before investing in tooling, fixturing and, machining process.
With the arrival of AI it seems as if people are afraid of being replaced by it. I disagree, AI in its current stage is a ground breaking invention but it is a compilation of Human knowledge. What makes it such an amazing tool is, its like having a jig saw puzzle pieced together before you open the seal on the box. in the hands of seasoned machinist AI allows for simulations of programs, machining techniques, tool simulations and, more without having downtime on machines and operators. what is going to make it better is the human ingenuity in adapting cutting techniques using these abilities to perfect new styles before applying them to real world scenarios with 100% accuracy.
